Vocational Service is the bedrock of Rotary, rooted in the fundamental belief that every useful occupation is a vehicle for societal transformation. As the Second Avenue of Service, it empowers Rotarians to promote honour, integrity, and trustworthiness within their businesses and professions. We specifically honour Past President Michelle Meek-Davis who exemplifies the Rotary Four-Way Test and maintains the highest ethical standards while using her professional expertise to address community needs.

 
 
Past President Michelle’s professional narrative reflects unwavering consistency and strategic growth. With over 30 years of experience in commercial banking and wealth management operations, she has become a foundational pillar within the Scotiabank Group, serving Jamaica and the wider Caribbean. Currently, as Senior Manager for Business Support, she stands at the intersection of high-level strategy and operational precision.
 
Her role carries immense responsibility. PP Michelle leads cross-functional collaborations with regional and international partners to ensure the bank’s strategic and regulatory priorities are executed flawlessly. As Country Coordinator for Business Continuity Planning, she architects the institution’s resilience while maintaining uncompromised operational readiness. Her career features notable successes, including her tenure as Manager of Field Reviews across the Northern Caribbean, where she drove corrective actions and operational assessments that strengthened the region’s financial fabric.
 
In pursuit of knowledge, she has never settled for the status quo. Her career reflects relentless professional development. Beyond her BSc. in Human Resource Management and her ASc. in Business Studies, she has earned specialized credentials that underscore her vocational integrity. She is a Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist, positioning her at the forefront of the global fight for financial transparency and ethical banking. Her certifications in project management, records management and securities reflect a holistic approach, ensuring world-class efficiency in every project she leads.
 
While her professional resumé is formidable, her passion for service truly distinguishes her as a Rotarian. For over a decade, Past President Michelle has been a driving force in the Rotary Club of Liguanea Plains, serving in nearly every capacity – from Director of Membership and Director of Public Relations to Vice President and President.
 
Her leadership extends beyond a single club. At the District 7020 level, she served as a trusted advisor and administrator, including as Area Coordinator for Surrey – overseeing Grants Qualification and Chair of Club Qualifications. This year, she takes on one of the District’s most ambitious roles as Conference Co-Chair for the upcoming District Conference and Assembly to be hosted in Kingston Jamaica in April 2026. In this capacity her boundless leadership style will shape the vision for thousands of Rotarians across the Caribbean.
 
Past President Michelle has channelled her passion for volunteer service into her professional capacity as a dedicated Scotiabank Volunteer, translating her corporate skills into community impact. Through her work with Junior Achievement Jamaica, she has taught students the fundamentals of financial literacy as she believes that teaching a young person how to budget is a revolutionary act of empowerment.
She integrates her rigorous professional standards with the Rotary Code of Conduct, which asks every Rotarian to use one’s professional skills to mentor young people, help those in need and improve people’s quality of life in the community and in the world. Michelle Meek-Davis is an exemplary Rotarian who using her skills of societal transformation for the promise of Rotary International.
 
In Past President Michelle, we see a professional who leverages her banking and project management expertise to build a more resilient Jamaica and vibrant Rotary District 7020. She embodies the "Gold Standard" of vocational service – mentoring, leading and safeguarding financial integrity.
