Rotaractor Wayne Thorpe from the New Kingston Rotaract Club transitions to the Rotary Club of New Kingston under the classification Insurance-Life.
Mr Wayne Thorpe is currently employed to Sagicor Life Jamaica Limited in the capacity of Senior Underwriter. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Management Studies with a focus on Human Resource Management from the University of the West Indies, Mona. He pursued his Master of Business at the University Of New Mexico, specializing in Operations & Marketing Management.
He is currently a member of the Rotaract Club of New Kingston, the Jamaica College Old Boys Association, Project Management Institute and an active Toastmaster.
In 2006 he was nominated for the Prime Minister's Youth Award for Excellence in the Journalism Category. He received the Sagicorian Award in 2010 (Most Outstanding Employee) within the Sagicor Group which spans across 22 countries worldwide. He is also a Fulbright Scholar.
On Friday, August 10, 2018 Rotaractor Wayne Thorpe was inducted as a member of the Rotary Club of New Kingston. He brings with him a wealth of experience from the New Kingston Rotaract Club and is the 8th NKRC Rotaractor to transition to RCNK.
